🌸 Scriptural Importance of Kartik Month :

According to Astrologer Bhaavikaa Rajguru —The Padma Purana, Skanda Purana, Narada Purana, and the Mahabharata describe the immense spiritual significance of Kartik Maas in great detail.

(Padma Purana)

Meaning:There is no month equal to Kartik, no era like Satyayuga, no scripture equal to the Vedas, and no pilgrimage comparable to the Ganga.

This month is most beloved to Lord Hari Vishnu, and every meritorious act done during this time yields eternal (Akshaya) results.

🕉️ Divine Presence During Kartik Month :

Astrologer Bhaavikaa Rajguru explains —During Kartik Maas, 33 crore deities descend to the earthly plane and bless those who observe devotion and purity.

(Skanda Purana)

He who bathes and worships Lord Vishnu (Janardana) with devotion in Kartik month attains immeasurable merit that even the gods cannot describe.

🌺 Origin and Legend of Kartik Month :

The name Kartik derives from Kartikeya, the divine son of Lord Shiva, who slew the demon Tarakasura in this month.

🌸 The Importance of Holy Bathing (Snan) :

The Skanda Purana says —

Meaning:Bathing at Prayag in Magha, Pushkar in Kartik, and Ujjain in Vaishakh destroys all sins and pleases all the gods.

As per Astrologer Bhaavikaa Rajguru —Bathing during Kartik Maas is said to equal a thousand Ganga baths.

🌸 The Five Sacred Rules of Kartik Maas (Padma Purana) :

  1. Early morning bathing before sunrise (in Brahma Muhurta)

  2. Lighting lamps (Deepdaan) — especially near Tulsi and temples

  3. Worship and service of Tulsi Mata

  4. Night vigil and devotional singing (Jagran & Kirtan)

  5. Charity, fasting, and merit observances (Dana & Udyapan)

Astrologer Bhaavikaa Rajguru says —One who bathes before sunrise, worships Lord Vishnu, and offers lamps becomes dear to Lord Hari.

🪔 Significance of Deepdaan (Lamp Offering) :

Offering lamps in Kartik is said to yield the same merit as performing Ashwamedha Yajna.

(Narada Purana)

According to Bhaavikaa Rajguru —Lighting a lamp dispels darkness, purifies the mind, and reduces karmic burdens.

🌿 Importance of Worshiping Tulsi Mata :

Kartik is especially dear to Lord Vishnu and Goddess Tulsi.

Astrologer Bhaavikaa Rajguru explains —Those who worship and serve Tulsi during Kartik attain Moksha (liberation), prosperity, and Vishnu’s abode.

🌊 Kartik Month & Sacred Bathing in Pushkar :

According to Bhaavikaa Rajguru —Bathing in Pushkar Lake during Kartik is as meritorious as a thousand Ganga baths.

Such a bath grants Dharma (righteousness), Artha (prosperity), Kama (desire fulfillment), and Moksha (liberation).

🪷 Divine Origin of Brahma Pushkar:

The term “Pushkar” means “born of a lotus.”According to the Padma Purana, Lord Brahma decided to perform a Yajna on Earth. While holding a lotus flower, he dropped it, and it fell in three places — forming Jyeshtha, Madhya, and Kanishta Pushkar lakes.

Bhaavikaa Rajguru adds —Lord Brahma performed his Yajna from Kartik Shukla Ekadashi to Purnima at Jyeshtha Pushkar, marking the beginning of the Panch-Tirtha Mahotsav.

🍶 The Legend of the Nectar (Amrit) Pot :

According to another tale — during Samudra Manthan (the churning of the ocean), a few drops of Amrit (nectar) fell into the sacred Pushkar Lake. Hence, its waters are said to be immortal and healing.

Bhaavikaa Rajguru notes —Bathing here purifies the mind and body and removes all ailments.

🌺 Panch-Tirtha Bath: Kartik Shukla Ekadashi to Purnima :

It is believed that during these five days, all deities descend to Pushkar to bathe and bless devotees.

Bathing and offering lamps during these days brings Akshaya (eternal) merit.

🕉️ Pitru Tarpan and Pind Daan at Pushkar

The Mahabharata states —

Bhaavikaa Rajguru explains —Performing Pind Daan or Tarpan at Pushkar satisfies ancestors and brings peace and prosperity to the home.

🌸 Pushkar’s Greatness in Mahabharata

Among all worlds, Earth is the greatest, and on Earth, Pushkar is most beloved to the gods.

Bhaavikaa Rajguru emphasizes —A pilgrim who visits all four dhams but not Pushkar loses the full merit of his journey. Hence, pilgrims complete their pilgrimage at Pushkar.

🛕 Sacred Temples of Pushkar

Pushkar is home to the world’s only Brahma Temple, where Lord Brahma, Gayatri Mata, Savitri Mata, Kubera, and Indra reside.

Other revered temples include:• Savitri Mata Temple (on Ratnagiri Hill)• Varaha Temple (Vishnu’s incarnation)• Vaikunth Temple (Ramanuja tradition)

The Brahma Temple is often called “The Third Eye of Earth.”
