Prabodhini Ekadashi falls in the Shukla Paksha of Kartik month and is also known as Dev Uthani Ekadashi or Devotthan Ekadashi. This significant day symbolizes the awakening of Lord Vishnu, who wakes up from his four-month-long sleep in the Ksheer Sagar. From this day, auspicious activities can begin, making it extremely important in Hinduism.

Ravi Yoga will also be available on November 13 from 06:42 AM to 07:52 AM. Worshiping Lord Vishnu and Goddess Lakshmi : during these times is believed to yield desired results.
Importance of Prabodhini/Dev Uthani Ekadashi :
According to the Padma Purana, the observance of Prabodhini (Dev Uthani) Ekadashi brings the benefits equivalent to performing a thousand Ashwamedha Yajnas and a hundred Rajasuya Yajnas. This Ekadashi is considered a great giver of merit, cleansing all sins of the devotee, and allowing them to attain Vaikuntha after death. The observance of Prabodhini Ekadashi is regarded as the supreme among all fasts, offering significant spiritual benefits to individuals and society alike. Worshiping Lord Vishnu on this day brings happiness, prosperity, and peace.
Special Significance:
1. Beginning of Auspicious Works: With Lord Vishnu waking up, all auspicious activities can commence from this day, including marriages.
2. Tulsi Marriage: Tulsi marriage takes place on this day, symbolizing the sanctity of Lord Vishnu and Tulsi.
3. Atone for Sins: Observing this Ekadashi with true faith washes away all sins and alleviates sufferings.
4. Divine Blessings: Worshiping on this day attracts the special grace of Lord Vishnu and Goddess Lakshmi, bringing wealth and abundance to families.

Dev Uthani Ekadashi Vrat Procedure :
1. Before Ekadashi:
o Dashami Tithi: On the day before Ekadashi (Dashami), consume only sattvic food and avoid eating after sunset.
2. On Ekadashi Day:
o Wake Up: Rise before sunrise, take a bath, and wear clean clothes.
o Purification of Puja Space: Purify the prayer area with Ganga water.
3. Vrat Sankalp:
o Sit on an asana and take the vow for the fast.
4. Worship of God:
o Bathe the Shaligram (an icon of Lord Vishnu) and dress it in clean clothes.
o Offer Tulsi leaves to the Shaligram.
5. Puja Materials:
o Worship with incense, lamps, fragrances, sweets, and fruits.
6. Aarti and Offering:
o After the worship, perform Aarti and offer sugarcane, pomegranate, banana, and Singhara.
7. Chandan and Auspicious Sounds:
o Apply white sandalwood or Gopi Chandan on the forehead.
o Call out, "Utho Bhagwan, Utho Narayan" to awaken the deity.
8. Recite Shloka:
o Chant the following shloka:
Uttiṣṭhottīṣṭha Govinda tyajanidraṁ Jagatpate.
Tvayi supté Jagannātha jagat supitamidambavet.
Uttiṣṭhottīṣṭha Vārāha daṁṣṭrōddhṛta vasundharé.
Hiraṇyākṣa prāṇaghātin trailokyē mangalam kuru.
o If unable to recite Sanskrit, simply say ;Utho Deva, Baitho Deva.
9. Mantra Japa:
o On the day of the fast, chant "Om Namo Bhagavate Vasudevaya" or the Vishnu Sahasranama Stotra.
10. Diet:
o Do not consume any grains; only fruits can be eaten.
11. Listening to the Katha:
o Read or listen to the story of Prabodhini Ekadashi.
12. On Dwadashi:
o On the next day (Dwadashi), take a bath, worship Lord Vishnu, perform Aarti, and break the fast at the appropriate time.

Remedies for Financial Abundance on Dev Uthani Ekadashi :
1. For Financial Prosperity:
o Marry Tulsi to Shaligram on Ekadashi and light a ghee lamp daily until full moon to avoid financial troubles.
o Cut a small piece from a coconut, fill it with jaggery and ghee, and bury it near an ant hill to alleviate financial issues.
2. For Wealth:
o Offer white sweets or kheer with Tulsi leaves in a Vishnu temple, pleasing Lord Vishnu for wealth.
3. For Merit and Charity:
o Visit Shaligram and offer Tulsi leaves to receive the benefits of countless yajnas.
4. For Success in Work:
o Apply soil from a Peepal tree on your forehead and pray to Lord Vishnu.
o Apply yellow sandalwood and saffron tilak on Lord Vishnu to achieve success.

o Wrap a sacred thread around the Tulsi plant and pray for increased love in your marriage.
6. For Peace and Prosperity:
o Donate fruits, rice, and jaggery to the needy, especially Singhara and sugarcane.

o Chant ;Om Namo Bhagavate Vasudevaya on Ekadashi to dispel troubles.

o Recite the "Santana Gopal Mantra" 108 times and continue regularly:

What Not to Do on Dev Prabodhini Ekadashi :
1. Avoid Rice: Do not consume rice, as it is believed that doing so leads to being reborn as a crawling creature.
2. Avoid Arguments: Steer clear of any disputes or arguments and do not insult others, as this day is special.
3. Avoid Meat and Alcohol: Consumption of meat, alcohol, and tamasic food like garlic and onion is prohibited.
4. Do Not Pluck Tulsi Leaves: Since this day is dedicated to the marriage of Tulsi, do not pluck Tulsi
leaves.
5. Avoid Negative Thoughts: Maintain positive thoughts and avoid consuming vegetables like
cauliflower and spinach.
6. Rest and Awareness: Those observing the fast should not sleep on a bed and must avoid cutting
nails or hair.
7. Speak Less: Try to speak less and focus on chanting the mantras of Lord Vishnu mentally.
